We sell live, established bamboo plants through our eBay store. These are not bare cuttings, rhizome-only divisions, or seeds. Every plant is a container-grown Phyllostachys from our family nursery in Northeast Texas, where we’ve grown bamboo since 2008. Prices include free UPS Ground shipping and the Texas Department of Agriculture inspection required for out-of-state shipments.
Live in Texas? Plants shipped within Texas don’t need the state inspection, so we can offer a lower price. Contact us for in-state pricing. If you’re local to Texarkana and the ArkLaTex area, ask about pickup. Looking for a variety from our catalog that isn’t listed on eBay? Reach out for a quote.

Giant Grey Bamboo – Phyllostachys nigra ‘Henon’
A close relative of black bamboo, but its culms mature to a soft, smoky, powdery gray instead of black. That gives mature stands an “ancient forest” look. Its dense, fine-textured foliage makes it one of the best choices for a solid privacy screen.
- Mature height: 40–60 ft
- Culm diameter: 3+ in
- Hardiness: USDA Zones 6–9
- Price: $59.99 with free shipping
Green Chinese Timber Bamboo – Phyllostachys vivax
One of the most impressive large running bamboos for temperate landscapes. It grows tall, straight canes with a full canopy of broad leaves. The culms are a rich solid green that turns glossy with age. It’s very vigorous and can form large stands if it isn’t contained.
- Mature height: 40–60 ft
- Culm diameter: 3–5 in
- Hardiness: USDA Zones 7–10
- Price: $59.99 with free shipping
How Shipping Works
- Free UPS Ground shipping is included in every eBay price. You’ll get tracking as soon as your order ships.
- Orders ship on the 1st of each month. Live bamboo has to be inspected by the Texas Department of Agriculture before it can leave the state, so we batch all orders and ship them together. Depending on when you order, this can mean a wait of up to several weeks.
- Plants ship bare-root. We take each plant out of its container, rinse the roots clean, and wrap them in damp paper to hold moisture. Shipping without soil keeps every order compliant with interstate rules, including the Japanese Beetle and Imported Fire Ant quarantines that apply to nursery stock from Texas. It’s a safe, well-established way to ship bamboo, and you get the same live, established plant.
- Live arrival guarantee. A little leaf curl or yellowing after shipping is normal, and bamboo usually bounces back within a couple of weeks of planting. If your plant arrives dead or broken, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we’ll make it right.
Can bamboo be shipped to my state?
We ship to the lower 48 states. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. All of these varieties are running bamboos, and some states and local governments restrict or regulate running bamboo. Before you order, please confirm that the variety can be legally received where you live. Some states, including California, accept bare-root bamboo but inspect it on arrival. We reserve the right to cancel and fully refund any order that can’t be legally shipped to its destination. Not sure about your state? Ask us before you buy.
